Definitely recommend this restaurant if in DC! The service was very friendly and the food was amazing. It is a little pricier of a restaurant, but it is so worth it! I am still dreaming of the chana masala that I had. The plate portions are the most perfect amount and the food is so authentic and yummy. Some of the dishes are so pretty you don't even want to eat! Like the Paleek Paneer... it is so picture worthy but let me tell you get that picture taken quick cause the fish is a yummy keeper! Whether going for drinks after work or wanting a full dinner this is a great location to dine and will become your new regular.

After receiving a gift card, my wife and I came here, and we thoroughly enjoyed this place. Growing up on traditional Indian food, I enjoy going out and trying different Indian restaurants. We started with some gol gappa, and while I could eat 40 or 50 of these, they came with a few pieces, which brought back some good memories. My wife and I also enjoyed some drinks, and the fantastic presentation of the drinks was equal to the flavor. My wife and I ordered our entrees, and the chole masala I got was delightful. The entire night was enjoyable from the service to the food.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and loved every moment. Our server was extremely attentive and thorough in explaining the menu. I highly suggest trying the Gol Gappa-similar to pani puri and very flavorful as well as the chicken tikka sampler-3 pieces of chicken cooked with different spices and served paired with a dipping sauce. My main sea bass dish with cauliflower was delightful! What makes this place special is the presentation of each dish-visually it was exceptional! Make sure to order some of their drinks as they're a show in themselves! My suggestions are Saffron Mystic and Smoked Anjeer. (The table next to us got Pandora's box and the presentation was super fun for that as well)-I won't ruin the surprise you've got to check it out for yourself! This restaurant is pricy but worth the splurge for a special night out. You might be able to find some street parking around or there's a parking garage under the Landmark Theater within a few minute walking distance.

This was our "fancy restaurant" experience during my sister's visit. One of my favorite cuisines is Indian and the take at Punjab Grill is creative and exciting. Not your classic curry and rice Indian food. My favorite bite was the chicken tikka sampler. The chicken was so fresh and perfectly cooked. It melted in your mouth and went perfectly with the sauces. I loved the vegan "goat" biriyani. The jackfruit was delicious and completely transformed from its vegetable form. It's goat-inspired so the spices and the dish itself reminded me of goat biriyani but don't expect it to taste like it a goat. It was savory, light, and flavorful. We ordered a bunch of small plates and a main dish and went around trying little bites of everything. All the dishes were fantastic. I would recommend coming here for a fancy and creative take on classic Indian flavors.
